Points Standings

The points are out guys! 95 point haul which for me is something else, but still, Jakey decides to stay 6 points ahead of me in those all important championship standings. Thanks mate. The points are avaliable to view here for anyone that's interested in seeing the full standings. I'll get a new post up with links to the photos when they're finally uploaded!

April Race Report

Well, after the day at the track, here's the report (excuse how long it is, but you LFS guys said you wanted detail!):

Qualifying: Arrived at the track, 5 entrys. Joy. Went out, had some weird steering problem pulling me right all the time, but still managed to put it on pole by a nice 1.5s thanks to Jake Hunter enjoying watching us all go round. Still haven't been off pole from qualifying this season amazingly. =P

Race 1: Off the pole and thanks to the gap between the Rotaxes and us, I amazingly didn't end up on fire in a ditch. Drove away from the pack nicely, and took rather an easy win, my first ever as an owner driver! =)

Race 2: Got away well (or so I thought...) and spent 3 or 4 laps in the front until a suprise move from Scott took me by suprise. Fought with him for about 3 more laps before making a move into the hairpin, retaking the lead. However, Scott came back the very same lap and snook past me in the final corner again. On the final lap, my chance came again after I cut back coming through the horseshoe, probably would have won it if there wasn't a backmarking Rotax unwilling to get out of the way, but a 2nd will do. =/ :L

Race 3: Outside starting spot for me, and managed to hold my 2nd place out of turn 1. Was looking to be another 2nd until problems struck for Scott and his carb, and the fast approaching Mr Hunter decided he'd do some heroics on the pit straight and twat the wall because he put his head down and couldn't see! (Stupid eejit. ;) ) So a last 4 lap cruise gave me my 2nd win of the day.

Final: Good start for me from the pole, ran out of T1 in the lead and cruised on to my first ever overall victory. Felt like the longest race of my life but really was worth every second of it. Congrats to Scott for taking 2nd place and Jakey Jakey Hunter for taking the 3rd spot, even if it didn't bring him a trophy =/ P.S. Told y'all it was long. =D
